Hi, I'm Devon Hodder.
I build the digital side of small businesses: the website out front, the tools your team works in, and the AI that makes it faster.
Devon Does Digital is my independent practice. I work with founders and small teams who want their digital presence, their internal tools, and their use of AI to work together, instead of three disconnected projects from three different vendors.
I started out building websites. But I kept running into the same thing: a great site doesn't help much if the team behind it is buried in scattered tools, duplicate spreadsheets, and inboxes where nothing can be found. So the work grew into the workspace tools teams run on, and then into helping teams adopt AI in a way that's practical, not hype.
I'm based in Yellowknife, in Canada's Northwest Territories, and I work with clients remotely wherever they are. Being a one-person practice is the point: you get someone who understands the whole picture and stays accountable from the first call to long after launch.
What I believe
Substance over flash
Pretty is easy. I care more about whether it loads fast, ranks well, and pays for itself.

No lock-in. You get the keys, the docs, and the know-how to run it without me.
Plain language
I explain the trade-offs in words you'd use, not acronyms that make me sound clever.
The right tool, not the trendy one
I pick what fits your team, budget, and data, even when that means less AI, not more.
